Olivewood Historic Homestead & Museum

Olivewood is a Branch of the National Trust of SA since 1979 and the site of the first Irrigation settlement in Australia 1887. The Homestead was built in 1889 for Charles & Elle Chaffey. The property consists of The original Homestead, Oil processing Shed, Packing Shed, Charles Chaffey Centre - museum, over 130 years of Olive Plantation,  Argo Barge, Workshop and extensive garden/lawns.  The property is completely run by volunteers helping with everything from cleaning, maintenance, gardens, horticulture, catering, administration and restoration. Come and preserve History.
