Development Applications - PlanSA

PlanSA is now home to South Australia’s new development application system. It is an online central source to access all information relating to Planning, Building & Development.

This platform will help you to submit and track development applications online, search property zoning and review development rules.

Do I need development approval?

If you’re planning on undertaking development, you may need approval before you get started. To find out if approval is needed for your project, you can access the approval wizard to confirm the next steps.

Lodging a Development Application

All development applications need to be lodged online through the Development Application Processing (DAP) system through PlanSA and not submitted to Council.

Planning & Design Code

Renmark Paringa Council has been transferred to the Planning and Design Code under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016. The Planning and Design Code is an online tool that has replaced the current Development Plan.

The Code outlines property zoning information and what policies apply to property locations and different types of proposed development.

To assist in your planning you can also visit SAPPA (South Australian Property and Planning Atlas) a free mapping tool that shows zoning across South Australia. By entering your property address you can see how the Planning and Design Code applies to you.
