Volunteering opportunities in the spotlight in May!
Throughout the month of May, Renmark Paringa Council will be delivering a campaign to showcase the diverse and valuable work being done by volunteers across the Renmark Paringa community, shining a spotlight on the people and organisations that make a difference to making our region a great place to live, work and play - every day.
From community services and sporting clubs to environmental groups and event organisers, volunteers play a vital role in shaping our region. The campaign will provide groups an opportunity to let the community know about volunteer opportunities, whether it be lending a hand occasionally or a more regular commitment. By highlighting these groups and the work they do, we aim to inspire more people to get involved by making those opportunities more visible and accessible.
How to get involved
We are inviting local volunteer groups to take part initially by completing a short registration form. This will help us develop a better understanding of what your volunteers do, how they contribute to the community, and what the gaps might be.
With this information, Council will utilise its platforms and strong community following to promote these opportunities to attract the right people to fill these roles. This is about strengthening our community from the ground up, connecting people with purpose, and ensuring our volunteer organisations continue to flourish.
If your group relies on volunteers, we encourage you to get involved and be part of this initiative. Together, we can shine a spotlight on the people and groups who make Renmark Paringa such a vibrant and supportive place to live.
The registration form will be open from Tuesday March 31 until Tuesday April 14, 2026.

Thank your volunteers!
Be part of Volunteer Week, which runs from 18 – 24 May, by thanking your volunteers! From providing a certificate of thanks to publicly acknowledging their contributions by using one of the provided social media tiles, these resources are designed to help organisations thank their current volunteers while also encouraging new members to get involved.
