Renmark Paringa Council statement relating to Wel.Co media reports
Renmark Paringa Council is aware of recent media coverage regarding Wel.Co in relation to the Springwood development in South Australia.
Chief Executive Officer Tony Siviour said while the reports relate to a separate project, Council understands members of the community may have questions given Wel.Co's role in delivering the Jane Eliza development in Renmark.
"Council has a strong and positive working relationship with Wel.Co through our Land Facilitation Agreement (LFA), and that relationship has been constructive throughout the planning and delivery of the Jane Eliza project to date," Mr Siviour said.
"At this stage, Council has no reason to suggest that the issues reported in relation to the Springwood development have any impact on the Jane Eliza project," Mr Siviour said.
"Jane Eliza remains a fundamental project for the Riverland, delivering much needed housing opportunities to support our growing community and workforce. Council remains committed to working collaboratively with Wel.Co to achieve the successful delivery of this development."
