Renmark Paringa Council backs six local events
Renmark Paringa Council is supporting six events through its 2026/27 Event Sponsorship Program, helping bring people together, attract visitors and create opportunities for local businesses.
The successful recipients will receive a combination of cash and in-kind support to help deliver a diverse program of events celebrating local gardens, arts and culture, sport, mental health initiatives and Riverland food and wine.
Renmark Paringa Mayor Peter Hunter said Council was pleased to support event organisers who contribute to the district's community life and economic activity.
“Events bring people together, give visitors another reason to experience our towns and create valuable opportunities for local businesses,” he said.
“From the much-loved Riverland Rose and Garden Festival to sporting events, arts and cultural experiences and celebrations of our local food and wine, these initiatives showcase the diversity of what our district has to offer.
“We also recognise the significant effort that goes into delivering these events, often with the support of dedicated volunteers and community organisations.
“Council's event sponsorship program is one way we can help these organisers turn their ideas into experiences that benefit our whole community.”
The successful recipients are:
- Riverland Rose and Garden Festival (9–18 October 2026) – $4,500 in combined cash and in-kind support to help deliver the 10-day celebration of the region’s gardens, floral displays, markets and community events.
