Footpath Renewal Works Underway – Section of Renmark to Paringa Shared Use Path
🚧 Footpath Renewal Works Underway – Section of Renmark to Paringa Shared Use Path 🚧
Council has commenced renewal works on a section of the shared use path between Pyap Street and Tolarno Street along the Sturt Highway.
Following a recent condition assessment, Council identified that the shared pathway connecting Renmark and Paringa has significantly deteriorated and is nearing the end of its service life. This important pathway provides a vital connection for pedestrians and cyclists travelling between the two towns to access schools, shopping precincts, community facilities and other local services.
As part of the project, the existing pathway will be removed and replaced with a new asphalt shared use path, providing a smoother and more durable surface for all users.
🗓️ Works commenced: Tuesday 29 July 2026
⏱️ Expected completion: Approximately 5–6 weeks
To minimise disruption, construction will be completed in stages so pedestrians can continue to access the area where possible. Please be aware that pathway surfaces may be uneven during construction.
⚠️ Signage will be in place throughout the work area. We ask all pedestrians and cyclists to follow the signage, take care, and allow extra time when travelling through the area.
Thank you for your patience while we deliver these important improvements to our shared pathway network.
