Council hosts SALA art display
Renmark Paringa Council is proud to host Emu Road Trip, a SALA Festival exhibition by local Riverland artist Jane Qualmann, at the Renmark Visitor Centre throughout August.
The exhibition showcases Jane’s vibrant and imaginative artwork inspired by the curious and charismatic emus she has observed along the River Murray. Combining acrylics, watercolours and sustainably sourced feathers, Jane’s collection captures the personality and character of one of Australia’s most iconic native birds.
The exhibition was officially celebrated with a Meet the Artist event hosted by Council, providing an opportunity for the community to connect with Jane, learn more about her creative journey and experience her unique Riverland-inspired works.
Jane’s artwork is available for purchase throughout the exhibition, providing visitors with the opportunity to take home a locally created piece of art.
The exhibition is open at the Renmark Visitor Information Centre until 31 August, with visitors encouraged to explore the display as part of the wider SALA Festival program.
Other SALA Festival exhibitions currently on display in Renmark include:
- United by Art – Chaffey Theatre (until 23 August)
- When the River Slows Down – Hotel Renmark
- Food for the Soul – Foodland Renmark
- Colours of our Community – Our Place. Our Stories. – Renmark Primary School (13 August)
