Applications Open for 2026 Riverland Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport Scholarship
The scholarship is proudly supported by the District Council of Loxton Waikerie, Berri Barmera Council and Renmark Paringa Council through the Connected and Active Communities Project.
The Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport is an initiative of Sport SA that supports and empowers women involved in sport and recreation through leadership, networking and professional development opportunities across South Australia.
The scholarship recipient will participate in 12 months of leadership development opportunities designed to develop leadership skills and build meaningful connections with other women within sport and recreation.
The program includes eight core development modules focused on leadership, media, financial understanding, empowerment and connection, people and culture, physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion within sport. Participants will also complete two additional elective modules tailored to their individual development interests and goals.
The program is open to women aged 18 years and over who are involved, or aspiring to be involved, in sport and recreation through roles such as coaching, officiating, administration, volunteering, board and committee positions, media or participation pathways.
Applicants are encouraged to read through the official Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport Application Guidelines before applying to understand the program structure, eligibility requirements and important information.
