Unwrapping the Magic: Renmark’s Christmas on the Murray Festival 2025 Program Revealed
Renmark Paringa Council is pleased to unveil Renmark’s Christmas on the Murray Festival program for 2025.
Christmas on the Murray is a month-long celebration bringing festive joy, community spirit and connection to Renmark throughout December.
As a much-loved annual event, the festival features a vibrant mix of activities, entertainment and local events for all ages.
This year’s program brings together Council-run events alongside community-led and commercial offerings, capturing the full suite of events scheduled to take place throughout the district this Christmas.
Aligned with Council’s Community Plan, Renmark’s Christmas on the Murray continues to strengthen community connection by creating opportunities for people to come together, celebrate and share in the magic of the season across multiple venues, including our iconic riverfront.
The 2025 program showcases returning favourites as well as exciting new additions.

Thursday 18 December 5pm – 9pm | Sandscapes: Festive Edition | Get ready for a sandsational celebration on the banks of the Murray celebrating the festive season, the river and the joy of summer! Sandscapes brings together incredible professional sand sculptors, family friendly sand art activities and a community sand creation. Plus a visit from Santa, food trucks and tunes by DJ Jeff. The festival program also highlights the many community-run events that make Christmas in Renmark truly special.
Popular favourites return including the much-anticipated Renmark Christmas Pageant, Carols in the Garden, Paul Tassios’ iconic Rialto Street light display and the Riverland Toy and Tucker Run.
Local businesses are again adding to the festive cheer with events such as Angove Family Winemakers/St Agnes Distillery’s 24 Days of Christmas, the Paringa Christmas Tree Farm, Santa visits at the Renmark Square, dedicated Christmas shops and festive fun across local licenced venues.

Renmark Paringa Mayor Peter Hunter said the Christmas on the Murray Festival continues to be an important celebration of community pride and connection.
“Council is proud to launch the program for this year’s Christmas on the Murray Festival, which not only brings our community together but shines a spotlight on Renmark as a festive destination for visitors,” he said.
“This year’s festival captures everything we love about the festive season, it encourages connection and gives us the opportunity to celebrating our beautiful region with visitors.
“I encourage locals and travellers alike spread the word and to join us in celebrating the season, supporting local events, shopping local and enjoying all that our district has to offer this Christmas.”
