Renmark Paringa Council held its monthly general meeting this week, with a number of decisions made.

December meeting date change

Renmark Paringa Council has endorsed moving the December Ordinary Council Meeting from 23 December 2025 to 16 December 2025.

The change avoids the busy week leading into Christmas, when staff and elected members often have limited availability, and ensures there is enough time to prepare minutes and action decisions before Council’s Christmas closure.

Annual Report endorsed

Renmark Paringa Council has adopted its 2024/25 Annual Report and all associated financial and audit documents, as required under Section 131 of the Local Government Act 1999.

The adoption follows the Audit and Risk Committee’s review, which confirmed the accuracy of the financial statements, supported required audit certifications, and recommended the report to Council.

The Committee also noted the need to return to an adjusted operating surplus, maintain separate CWMS accounting, and strengthen financial resilience. External auditors completed their final year of engagement with both interim and year-end audits.

The Annual Report highlights Council’s work and performance during 2024/25, a year marked by pressure and change, and outlines a continued focus on improvement.
