Have your say on the Alan Coulter Recreation Centre

Renmark Paringa Council is inviting community members to share their feedback on planned upgrades to the Alan Coulter Recreation Centre - ensuring this valued facility continues to serve the community for many years to come.

Owned by Renmark Paringa Council and managed by Belgravia Leisure, the Alan Coulter Recreation Centre is an important hub for health, wellbeing, and connection in the Renmark Paringa district. Just minutes from the town centre, it supports priorities outlined in the Renmark Paringa Council Community Plan 2024–34, offering opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to stay active and connected.

The Centre features:

  • Two versatile indoor courts for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton and indoor soccer
  • Seasonal sporting competitions
  • An indoor heated pool
  • Group fitness classes and a swim school
  • Personal training and 24-hour gym memberships

While the Centre continues to serve residents well, a number of upgrades and maintenance works are now required to ensure it remains safe, accessible, and financially sustainable - not replaced. Council has planned these works within its long-term financial and asset management strategies.

Current and upcoming projects include:

  • Indoor Pool Plant Room Renewal
  • Fitness Equipment Replacement
  • Roof Replacement
  • Structural Works Upgrade

Essential structural works will soon take place in a section of the Centre that has been temporarily closed for safety and maintenance reasons. Although only part of the facility is affected, Council is seeking feedback on the entire Centre to guide future improvements that are practical, cost-effective, and meet community needs.

Council’s goal is to deliver a fit-for-purpose facility upgrade that supports the health, wellbeing, and recreation of the wider community - now and into the future.
