Nominations are now open for the 2026 Renmark Paringa Council Australia Day Awards. Nominations can be for an individual or a community group – anyone who goes above and beyond to support others, builds community spirit, or achieves something worth celebrating. It could be a neighbour who always steps up, a volunteer who works tirelessly behind the scenes, or a local event that brings people together.

Award categories:

  • Citizen of the Year – for extraordinary contribution to the community and outstanding service over time.
  • Young Citizen of the Year – for exceptional young people aged 16–30 years (as at 26 January 2026).
  • Active Citizenship Award – for an individual or group delivering an outstanding project or event during the past year.
  • Community Event of the Year – for the most outstanding event staged in our community.
