Levee Monitoring comes to an end

All levee banks (bar the Hospital Bank) have become disengaged and the threat of flood within the townships is no longer an issue. Daily monitoring of the levee banks had been occurring since November and Council would like to thank our staff, contractors and volunteers for their support in carrying out these daily inspections (even on Christmas Day) to ensure that the integrity of the levee banks were maintained right through the Flood event. These levee banks have protected our community and we are extremely grateful to all those who were involved in the construction, monitoring and assessment of them, thank you.
