Taylor Riverfront Precinct
The Taylor Riverfront Precinct, opened in March 2021, is a welcoming space in the heart of Renmark that blends history with modern riverside facilities. Overlooking the Murray River, it features the Harry Clark Water Play area, designed with a non-slip surface and swimming pool quality water - perfect for kids to splash and explore. Enjoy river views from the 24m river deck, built from the equivalent of 65,530 recycled milk bottles, shaded lawns, four free barbecues, and shelters with seating, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings and picnics.
The precinct sits on the original site of the Taylor Memorial Gardens (established in 1937 and named after long-serving Murray Pioneer editor Harry S. Taylor) and the Harry Clark Fountain (first built in 1977 with support from local businessman Harry Clark). The fountain’s unique design represents the Murray–Darling River system and the region’s strong links to grape and fruit production. Today, the Taylor Riverfront Precinct continues to honour this heritage while providing a lively, family-friendly destination on the Renmark riverfront.
