Paringa Revitalisation Project
The Paringa Town Centre Revitalisation project has been completed, transforming the heart of Paringa into a vibrant, accessible, and welcoming public space. This major upgrade was shaped through community input and focused on beautifying the main street, improving amenities, and enhancing the overall experience for residents, visitors, and local businesses.
Project Overview
Initiated in 2022, the project began with extensive community consultation as part of the development of the Paringa Place Plan. The aim was to revitalise the town centre by improving public infrastructure, safety, and visual appeal — with the long-term goal of delivering social and economic benefits for the Paringa community.
Council worked closely with residents and local businesses to identify the priorities for the town centre improvements, which were used to guide the final concept design.
Community Priorities and Key Outcomes
Consultation feedback informed the final project scope, with the community identifying the following key priorities:
- Upgraded public toilets, access, and signage
- A new nature play space with natural and interactive play elements
- Improved BBQ, seating, and picnic facilities, including sheltered areas
- Safer, better-connected footpaths throughout the town centre
- Increased landscaping, including new trees and hedging
- Enhanced lighting, including feature lighting elements
- A trailhead for walking and cycling routes
- New community gathering areas
Project Delivery
Construction commenced in mid-2024, following a successful tender process in August 2023. Renmark Paringa Council awarded the works to LCS Landscapes, an award-winning landscaping firm with prior experience delivering high-quality public spaces in the region.
All works were completed within the 2023/24 financial year, with the revitalised town centre now fully open and in use.

The completed Paringa Town Centre Revitalisation includes:
- Refurbished and upgraded public toilets on Pauline Street
