Stage 2 - Revive Renmark, Murray Avenue

Introduction to the Project

Renmark Paringa Council is continuing implementation of its’ Urban Design Framework, with Revive Renmark being identified as the next priority. The Revive Renmark Project name was developed as part of the funding application to the Murray–Darling Basin Economic Development Program and includes Stage 2 and Stage 5.

Stage 2 spans from the corner of Murray Avenue and Renmark Avenue through to Pyap Street.

Designs and Plans

For Stage 2, Renmark Paringa Council engaged urban designers Jensen Plus to design streetscape options for Murray Avenue. Council representatives along with Jensen Plus engaged with the community during July 2022, seeking feedback on concept designs for this project. These designs can be viewed below.

Timeline

The next stage of this project is to seek a Council decision on the 100% designs enabling Council to proceed into construction. The construction activity along Murray Avenue is scheduled to commence in 2023.

How is the project funded?

The design stage of the Revive Renmark project was funded by the Australian Government under Round 3 of the Murray–Darling Basin Economic Development Program.

The construction portion of Revive Renmark – Murray Avenue is co funded by the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
