Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way to protect you and your children against infectious diseases that may cause serious illness, permanent damage or even death.
Community immunisation clinics - on hold
Please be advised that Council is currently unable to offer community immunisation clinics at the civic centre due to vaccine storage issues which Council is seeking to rectify as soon as possible.
Council will advise when the clinics can be offered again, however no further bookings will be taken for community clinics until further notice.
In the meantime please contact your GP clinic to make an appointment.
School immunisation program
Council coordinates the annual School Immunisation Program. In 2024 students will be offered the following vaccines:
Year 7
- Boostrix - Diptheria Tetanus Pertussis (whooping cough)
- Gardasil 9 - Human Papilloma Virus
Year 10
- Bexsero - Meningococcal B
- Nimenrix - Meningococcal ACWY
Immunisation History Statements
Immunisation history statements can be obtained using a myGov account or App, or by calling the Australian Immunisation Register enquiries line on 1800 653 809
If you believe a record of vaccination from a Council service is not listed on your statement, please call the Council office on 8580 3000 to request a review of the records
