From the Mayor, Neil Martinson
|Renmark Paringa part of South Australia’s trade delegation to China|
Mayor Neil Martinson represents Renmark Paringa Council as part of a delegation, led by the South Australian Government, to the Shandong Province in China.
Shandong has been South Australia’s sister city for about 30 years, it has a population of almost 100 million people with a Gross Domestic Product or “GDP” value of close to US$1 trillion in 2014.
The missions aim is to highlight the products and services that South Australia (and, of course, the Riverland) has to offer and to build connections with possible trading and investing partners in Shandong.
Renmark Paringa Council will continue to work with our local industries to assist in showcasing the quality produce and services available in the Riverland and, with the signing of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement, the timing has never been better to become China export ready.
