Renmark Paringa Council is taking proactive and proportionate measures in response to the challenges that our community is facing in relation to COVID-19.

With the recent announcement that COVID – 19 restrictions are slowly being lifted we have returned to some customer-facing services.

  • The Civic Centre Cashier Office is open to the public from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Friday for payments and enquires with a maximum capacity of 10 people in the foyer at any one time and only the 18th Street door is unlocked.

Members of the public are encouraged to make enquiries and payments through non-contact methods if possible, however, we will accept over the counter payments which will include cash (using disposable gloves). Other enquiries will be provided to the relevant staff member for response.

Meeting rooms are not available for public use.

  • The Library is open to the public from 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday – Friday, with a maximum capacity of 10 people at any one time. Use of the click/ call and collect service is encouraged and all returned books and materials will continue to be quarantined for 72 hours.

Public computers and photocopying are not available for public use.

Contact the library by telephone (8586 5544) and email.  The library will continue to offer free ebooks, audiobooks and digital magazines through online databases.  More information on digital resources can be found on the library website.

  • The Visitor Information Centre is open to the public from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Friday, with a maximum of 10 people at one time. The Centre is not open on the weekend. We will accept payments, including cash (using disposable gloves).

  • The Chaffey Community Centre is not open to the public.
  • The Alan Coulter Recreation Centre (managed by Belgravia Leisure) is not open to the public.
  • The Renmark Swimming Centre (managed by Belgravia Leisure) is not open to the public and has closed for the season.
  • Playgrounds, skate parks and outdoor gyms are open to the public.
  • The Renmark Waste Transfer Station is open and we will accept payments, including cash (using disposable gloves).

Whilst we slowly adjust and reopen we encourage and abide by social distancing practices and all continue to maintain a high standard of hygiene. There are automatic sanitising units for public use at the entry to the Civic Centre, Library and Visitor Information Centre.

These measures will assist us in maintaining the safety of our employees and community, while also continuing to deliver services.
