Wireless Internet Access available at the Renmark Paringa Public Library
Wireless allows people to bring their own portable computers to the library and get free Internet access. With wireless, users are able to site anywhere in the library to access the Internet. If your laptop has a compatible wireless card or internal wireless capabilities, you can access the Library's wireless service.
Anybody is able to register to use the Wireless service. To register, please see one of the Library staff to assist you. You will be registered on the network and provided with a username and password to log on to the system. This username and password will be valid to use in any SA Public Library, until your account expires.
What do I need? Users need to bring their own laptops to the Library with either a built-in or an installed wireless network card. Either the IEEE Standard 802.11b or 802.11g card are compatible with the Library's wireless. Also make sure your laptop is fully charged, as due to occupational health and safety regulations we CANNOT allow any cords that aren't tagged and tested to be used in our power outlets.
Currently printing is not available with this service. For reasons of liability please be aware the Library staff cannot help users to configure their own equipment or assist with problems related to your wireless device. If you require help, please contact your local PC support.
All users are expected to use the Library's wireless access in accordance with the Public Library Network Internet Policy.
