Food Safety

Food Businesses

Council Officers regularly conduct food business inspections of all premises to ensure adequate standards are met and acceptable food handling techniques used when preparing food for human consumption.

More information regarding legislation and policies with respect to food can be found on the SA Health website and resources relating to food safety and food businesses can be found here.

If you are setting up a new food business (commercial or home based) or if the ownership/management of an existing food business changes, Council must be notified accordingly using the following form.
